About Georgia
I’m Georgia Preiss, a graduated Social Worker local to the Sutherland Shire and also the face behind ‘My Helper’.
I’ve always had a strong passion for supporting older adults, which led me to study Social Work and build my career in the aged care sector.
Over the years, I have worked across a variety of settings, including independent living communities as well as multiple different nursing homes where I worked in dementia specific units. In these roles, I focused on creating meaningful, person-centred support that truly enhances quality of life.
I have also completed a range of practical and theoretical training, including:
✔️ Bachelor of Social Work
✔️ Dementia Australia Training
✔️ CPR certification
✔️ Suicide prevention training
✔️ Infection control
✔️ Child safety
✔️ NDIS procedures
✔️ Positive Partnerships
But beyond qualifications, what really drives me is empathy. Through personal experience, I understand how important it is for people to feel respected, supported, and genuinely cared for.
My Helper was created to provide just that, compassionate, reliable support that makes everyday life a little easier and a lot more meaningful.
